Keene, New Hampshire

The Keene Kiwanians Welcome You!

The Kiwanis Club of Keene New Hampshire is a service organization comprised of caring men and women from all walks of life. Our objective is to bring aid to children in need. The majority of our efforts benefit children in this community. A portion of the funds we raise go to help meet Kiwanis International objectives which focus on the special needs of young children from prenatal development to age five. We serve by sponsoring fund raising activities, which provide monetary support for children’ programs and through personal involvement in the giving of our time and skills.

Anyone interested in serving others will feel very welcome here. If you would like to see why we do what we do, click here.

Upcoming 2012 Club Events

This is a new endeavor for us at their West Street, Keene, restaurant. Also, we are holding a "members' used book" sale for the club. The promotional coupons are available to you for downloading, printing, and taking to D'Angelo. For more information, contact the event chair, Janet Genatt. Join us!

Applebee's February Scholarship Pancake Breakfast

On Saturday, February 18, we will host our second scholarship breakfast at Applebee's in Keene.  All our proceeds go towards funding our three annual $1,000 student scholarships for seniors at Keene HS, and Monadnock Regional HS, and Circle K students at Keene State College. Our expert club members will serve pancakes, bacon and sausages, and beverages on Saturday morning. Check out our color event flyer from John Hayes. We hope to see you there.

Our 2011 Holiday Season Community Service

The period from Thanksgiving through Christmas is always a most active time of the year for our club. It all begins with our annual Yankee Swap fund raising auction at a club meeting in November. We're visible and have a good time. This year our community service events included:

The City Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
We set up and lit the all the luminaries surrounding the Central Square and assist with the evening's festivities.

Our Roaming Christmas caroling
. During Christmas season, our vocally talented members visited different community locations and sing seasonal carols. Not Carnegie Hall quality perhaps, but, all 20 of us had a heck of a lot of fun.

The Salvation Army bell ringing
. During the Christmas season, club members rang the bell to help raise funds for the Salvation Army. We pair up for two hour shifts and just keep smiling.

Holiday Sponsor Program.
Club members again supported the City of Keene and Salvation Army through providing Christmas gifts to needy area families.
